Alan is responsible for the origination and management of contractors, utilities and direct customer relationships and the structuring of federal, municipal, commercial and industrial energy projects. He has more than 35 years of experience in sales / marketing and syndications, with a concentration in the structured finance market. He has a proven track record in developing new business and maintaining existing relationships and prior to establishing BSF in 2025, he originated and closed on approximately $3 billion in private placement lending opportunities for United Financial of Illinois, Inc. during his 32 years of employment there. Alan received his Bachelor of Business Administration & Finance degree from Loyola University of Chicago.
Arif is the Corporate Counsel at BSF, where he provides comprehensive legal guidance to support the company’s strategic growth and operational initiatives. With over a decade of diverse legal experience spanning debt financing for federal and commercial energy performance and renewable contracts, SaaS, and Professional Service and Vendor contracts for large corporations, Arif specializes in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements while ensuring alignment with corporate risk tolerance and regulatory frameworks. Prior to joining BSF, he served as Vice President of Legal at United Financial of Illinois, where he led multimillion-dollar financings, including an $85M construction project for a private university. Arif’s background also includes extensive private practice experience in corporate and real estate law, where he managed litigation and contract negotiations for a wide range of clients. Arif earned his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Loyola University Chicago. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois. Known for his ability to balance legal risk with business objectives, Arif is dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and driving efficient legal solutions that support organizational success.
Ryan is responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing financial excel models and data analysis. His role includes the creation and modification of financial deal models, economic analysis, as well as solving problem sets for management. He provides support for legal and sales throughout the decision-making process. Ryan attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana on the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies and received his Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics & Finance degree.
